Theatre ticket vouchers – great to save money

The staycation was a feature of 2009, with many families choosing to stay at home rather than incur the added expense of a foreign holiday and British companies even added to the money savings on offer by providing extra incentives to enjoy your leisure time in the UK.

One of those things that helped was the large number of bargains in the London West End. A phenomenon that I’m glad to say has continued. The West End is one of the best places for theatre in the world and, if you want a bargain, you can get one by grabbing theatre ticket tokens form the official distributor.

Wind energy – could it cut electricity costs?

Wind energy is not anew phenomenon, it has been around for years as many rural residents know as the number of turbines springing up on the UK’s hills continues to grow.

However, there are advances in the infrastructure of wind power and many incentives for nations to adopt renewable energy. The UK is at the forefront of renewable energy technology and, as the technology increases, will we see a reduction in the electricity bills of the average consumer.

In Scotland particularly, the nation has the potential to produce more electricity from renewable sources than it needs, and can export energy. This, however, is unlikely to drive prices down as the UK’s electricity grid is interlinked.

Saving money on Rome flights for Valentine’s day

With Valentine’s day fast approaching, I was on the lookout for some money saving – but ultimately rewarding gift to give the other half. And I found the answer in the number o bargain holiday deals that are available these days.

I had wanted to get something that we can do together – no more of those spa vouchers that she would do alone while I spend time down at the pub. Although  we always spend Valentine’s together I wanted to take a trip with the woman in my life. So I thought about Rome flights, and sure enough there are bargain flights at this time of year.

I’m all about getting a good deal, so we’re off to Rome in a few weeks to take in the atmosphere in one of the most romantic cities in the world.
