Yasheng to expand gift packaging product range

Yasheng Group, a highly diversified agricultural company based in China with US headquarters in California, has announced the expansion of its gift packaging range and a new branding initiative which will cover high-end eco-friendly foods.

The firm believes that China’s increasing wealth and long tradition of gift-giving will mean that there will be a consistent market demand for the new gift packaging line. Fresh fruit is a common gift in China, and consumers are prepared to pay a high premium for large, smooth, unblemished fresh fruit.

Gift baskets which include fruit are tremendously popular in China, as the colourful fruits, perceived health benefits and attractive packaging appeal to most consumers.

Chairman of the company Zhou Changsheng explained: “For gift-giving purposes it is the quality of the gift, no the quantity that counts in China. Our strategic promotional campaigns are designed to help consumers recognise the Yasheng brand and that it stands for superior product quality.

“We believe this brand recognition will help us perform well in the high-end consumer segment. We are also making efforts to keep the brand fresh by developing special packaging reflecting the themes and customs of the eight major Chinese holidays.”

New iced chill wine and spirits gift bag launched

Bag designer Bella Vita has announced the release of its new chilled wine gift bag. Incorporated into the bag is a completely non-toxic freezing agent, which means that they can act as mini ice packs, cooling and chilling the bottle they contain.

The bags come in a wide variety of colours and designs, with something suitable for every season and occasion. The bags are completely reusable and can be used to chill all standard wine and spirits bottles.
